RAIN WIPES OUT SATURDAY MARCH 8TH LINCOLN SPEEDWAY RACING ACTION;358 Sprints join 410 Sprints March 15th
ABBOTTSTOWN, PA, 3/8/08 - A huge rain-making weather system movedinto the Central Pennsylvania area Friday afternoon and continued into thenight putting down nearly an inch of additional rain. With persistentshowers into the morning and a forecast of additional rain, thundershowersand lowering temperatures throughout the day, Lincoln Speedway promoters Donand Bob Leiby, along with Alan Kreitzer, were forced to pull the plug onSaturday afternoon's second racing program of 2008. So that means next Saturday afternoon, March 15th, the 358 Sprinterswill open there 2008 season at Lincoln Speedway at 2 PM, joining the CindyRowe Auto Glass 410 Sprints in the final afternoon show of 2008. This willbe the final afternoon show of 2008 as Lincoln Speedway will shift to 6 PMstarts the following week, March 22nd. Gates will open at noon, with warm-ups getting underway at 1:30 PMand qualifying beginning at 2 PM. The Thundercar $500-to-win Lawrence Chevrolet Spring Thaw 20 willnow be added to the March 22nd program.
